Information We Collect

Public Records: We collect arrest records and mugshots from county sheriff offices across the United States under applicable state and federal public records laws.

Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. Google OAuth users share their Google email and profile name.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage data including pages viewed, search queries, and device type. Visitor IP addresses are hashed — we never store raw IP addresses.

How We Use Information

  • Display public arrest records to website and app visitors
  • Provide premium features (alerts, watchlists) to subscribers
  • Serve first-party advertisements (no third-party ad networks)
  • Geo-target ads by county using server-side IP resolution
  • Improve our service through anonymized usage analytics

Advertising

All ads are served from our own servers. We do not use third-party ad networks, tracking pixels, or cross-site cookies. Advertisers never receive personal information about visitors. Ad targeting is based on county-level geolocation (server-side) and page context only.

Data Retention

Public records are retained indefinitely as they are public information. Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Usage data is retained for 90 days in identifiable form, then aggregated.

Your Rights
